A GitLab connection pushes your Vexly secrets to a project’s CI/CD variables. It works on gitlab.com and self-managed GitLab.

Create a token

Either option works — both need the api scope:

• Personal access token — User settings → Access tokens.
• Project or group access token — a bot-user token that doesn’t take a license seat. See GitLab’s project access tokens. You’ll pick project or group scope when you add the connection.

Add the connection in Vexly

1. Open Integrations in Vexly and pick GitLab under Browse integrations.
2. Paste the token. For an access token, choose project or group scope.
3. Click Save connection. Vexly verifies it with GitLab and stores it encrypted — the connection is reusable across every project in your workspace.
